Our Services.

Septic Pumping.

Septic systems are individual wastewater treatment systems, usually for individual homes. They are typically used in rural or lot settings where central wastewater treatment is not efficient. There are many types of septic systems in use today. While all systems are individually designed for each site, most systems are based on the same principles. A conventional septic system consists of a septic tank, a distribution box and a drainfield, all connected by pipes, called conveyance lines. Regular maintenance is the most important thing in making sure your septic system works well.

Septic Tank Inspections.

Richland County is required by state law (WI Adm. Code, SPS 383.54) to have proof from the property owner that the septic system has been checked and/or pumped every three years. As the current owner, it is your responsibility to have the septic tank inspected and/or pumped by a licensed plumber/pumper. Proper maintenance of your system will help to extend its service to you. Pumping out the accumulated sludge and scum, and inspecting the baffles, will help keep unwanted materials from flowing into and prematurely clogging the seepage area. You will be receiving a notice from the Richland County Zoning Department, every three years reminding you that your tank should be either inspected and/or pumped. A licensed plumber/pumper will need to sign the notice along with the owner and return it within ninety (90) days of receipt.

Holding Tank Pumping.

A Holding tank does not allow for any of its contents to leach away into the ground, whereas a septic tank will allow waste water to run through a leaching field and a bacterial breakdown of some of its contents. Everything (Showers, Toilets, Dishwashers etc) will drain into the Holding tank. If the holding tank becomes full, it can back up into the house. Our experience has been that many holding tanks are pumped about every 6-8 weeks. Most holding tanks have an alarm which will alert you to the holding tank being full, assuming that they have been kept in good repair.

Septic Tank Accessories.

We offer a few different size concrete risers for your septic tank if the lid is buried deeper than is convenient. We also have concrete lids that can be purchased if your existing lid is damaged. For other septic tank accessories we can get you into contact with local businesses for purchase of your needed products.
